On Wednesday, March 19, I was at a goat milk farm in Scottsburg, IN. Goat Milk Stuff. My co-op homeschool group went for a field trip, and I stayed until Friday. My homeschool co-op took a tour around the farm. We saw the Soap room, which is where the Jonas family, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas and their kids Brett, Colter, Emery, Fletcher, Greyden, Hewitt, Indigo, and Jade make the Goat Milk Stuff products. Then we went to the barn to see the kids (baby goats). We saw the chickens, rabbits, and the dogs, Thor and Baxter. After the tour was over, we left to eat lunch and came back to drop me off.
First, we all ate dinner, we had banana pancakes (which were the best pancakes I’ve ever had). Then Jackson, Joshua, Hewitt, and I went to the barn. Next, I milked goats. I didn’t know how, so Hewitt taught me. While Hewitt, Colter, and I milked goats, Jackson, Joshua, Emery, Fletcher, and Indigo played tag.
Once the goats had been milked, we all went into the hayloft and played tag. When we got bored with that, we played hide-and-go-seek. Later, when it was dark, we went and played Ghost in the Graveyard. That game is sort of a mix between tag and hide-and-go-seek. The tagger, the Ghost, hides, while the rest of the players count ‘one o’clock, two o’clock, three o’clock, rock, four o’clock, five o’clock, six o’clock, rock, seven o’clock, eight o’clock, nine o’clock, rock, ten o’clock, eleven o’clock, twelve o’clock rock midnight!‘ They all spread out to look for the “Ghost”. When the Ghost is found, the finder yells, ‘Ghost in the Graveyard!’ and everyone sprints back to base. The person tagged by the Ghost is the next Ghost.
After about an hour of playing Ghost in the Graveyard, the rest of my family left. Since it was kidding season (when the kids are born), all the Jonas kids took a shift watching the goats. I worked a shift with Brett. We watched the goats from 10 PM to midnight. While on shift, we watched the Princess Bride. Jim Bob, one of the barn cats, sat on my lap while I drank hot chocolate and watched the last half of the movie. I love animals.

Friday was my last day at the Jonas’ house. But on the bright side, I got to see a live goat birth. Then I got to feed the newborn baby! His name is Lampie! Sooooo cute! I can’t wait to go back and see him and Tempest and Tapioca and Esther, and all the other kids! I also can’t wait to visit my new friends Brett, Colter, Emery, Fletcher, Greyden, Hewitt, Indigo, and Jade! And Mr. and Mrs. Jonas!
